You want photos you’re obsessed with. You want to feel confident as hell. But you also probably have about 47 reasons floating around in your head for why maybe you should wait.

“I need to lose a little weight first.” “I’m SO awkward.” “I have no idea how to pose.” “I’m not photogenic.” “What the hell am I even supposed to do with my face?” Trust me, I’ve heard ALL of it. And good news: none of that is your job. You do not need to walk into my studio knowing how to pose, where to look, what to do with your hands, or how to suddenly transform into a Victoria’s Secret model. That’s literally what you’re paying me for.

From the minute you book, I’ll walk you through everything. You’ll get a full prep guide, help planning what to wear, and all the information you need so you’re not showing up wondering what the hell you signed yourself up for. And once we start shooting? I am RIGHT there with you. I don’t stand behind my camera yelling “arch more!” while you try to figure out what that means. I get down there and show you. I’m popping my booty, arching my back, pointing my toes, making ridiculous faces and demonstrating every single pose right along with you.

Most of my clients are nervous when they walk through the door. A lot of them tell me they’re awkward, hate having their picture taken, or are convinced they’re going to be the one person I somehow cannot photograph. Spoiler: you’re not. I’ve been photographing women throughout the Seattle–Tacoma area for over a decade, and I’ve photographed just about every body type you can imagine. Moms, wives, single women, women in their 20s, women in their 60s, size 2s, size 22s... women who came in feeling confident and women who were ready to turn around in the parking lot.

You do not need to lose weight first. You don’t need to “fix” anything. And you definitely don’t need to magically become more confident before you book a confidence-building experience. That seems a little backwards, doesn’t it? Just show up as you are. Somewhere between the posing, the outfit changes, my questionable commentary and us laughing our asses off, you’ll start seeing what I’m seeing through my camera. And THAT is my favorite part.
